On Saturday, October 26th, 2019 our community supported the BCM (Bertie & Clinton) Walk for Hope by raising over $10,000 in support of the work we do at The Hope Centre.
We would like to thank the BCM Community, we are so grateful to have your support. Zehrs Markets, Paul Damude's Apple Spot, H2Only Bottled Water Service, media support from Your TV, Niagara This Week and Welland Tribune, and so many organizations, business, and community members that contributed to the success of this event.
The funds raised at the first annual Walk for Hope will support The Hope Centre's food security programs. The Hope Centre supports more than 1,200 individuals and families each month who are experiencing food insecurity.
The Hope Centre sees an average of 60 individuals and families each week through our food bank and our Community Lunch Program serves a hot meal to approximately 350 people each week.
30% of individuals accessing these programs are children and youth under the age of 18 years old.
